To be held at the Napanee Lions Club hall on Centre St. in the town of Napanee Ont., the hall can be reached from Hwy. 401, by taking the Hwy. 41 interchange at Napanee and proceeding south on Hwy. 41 (Centre St.), through the town, over the Napanee River, through the next set of traffic lights and proceed approximately 100 yards on your left to the auction site.
We have been asked by Daniel Guillet of
Lancaster Ont., to sell his collection of nostalgia along with that of his late
mothers, by unreserved public auction. consisting of tins, and other packaging
found in Ontario and Quebec households of the late 19th and the 20th
century, collectible goods in original packaging, country store items to
include a rare Corticelli Wash Silk and Dye cabinet
in original condition plus other display cabinets of the same period, a three
drawer cash register in brass, hundreds of collectible tins and packages to
include tobacco, groceries, soft drink, etc., wooden crates, advertising signs
in both tin and porcelain, a turn of the last century apple cider mill, coffee
mill, a wooden tool bench with complimentary tools of the early 20th
century, fishing collectibles, oil tins, detergent boxes and tins, patent
medicines, a Victrola with exterior brass horn, a
cylinder record player, a small collection of vintage hockey games, oil lamps
from the barn, kitchen and parlour, crocks including decorated examples, a
collection of approximately 75 pieces of carnival glass in various colours plus
an assortment of Victorian glass and china table wares, a collection of scent
bottles, Victorian walnut bedroom suite in its original varnish condition with
marble tops, antique household tools to include a spinning wheel, refinished
ice box, granite ware, coffee grinder, ice cream maker, etc. plus many more
items too numerous to list.
Note: In addition to the above, we will offer from a separate area
collection 10 American historical flasks.
