Sale Directions:
Hwy. 401 to
Hwy. 41 at Napanee, south on Hwy. 41 (Centre St.) through six sets of traffic
lights. The hall is approx. 100 yds. from the sixth set of lights on the left or
east side of the street.
I have been asked by the executors of the estate of
the Mrs. Nancy Rawley of Kingston Ont. to sell the contents of her late
residence by unreserved public auction. Mrs. Rawley with her late husband George
were involved in the antiques business in Kingston and area in the 1970’s.
Features of this auction will include a collection of
antique sugar shakers, pickle cruets in frames, a set of Royal Crown Derby in
the Imari pattern and a set of dishes in the Indian Tree pattern, coloured
glass, satin glass, a walnut tall case grandfather clock, flow blue toilet set,
two sets of sterling silver flat ware, and an assortment of quality antique
Victorian furnishings.
Consisting of: a collection of over 25 sugar shakers
to include examples in Cranberry end of day, sterling silver, cranberry glass,
Wedgwood, china, etc., a partial set (over 60 pcs.) of Royal Crown Derby table
wares in the Imari pattern and an equal number of pieces of Indian Tree, Shelley
cups and saucers, a set of four Royal Worcester cups and saucers in cobalt blue,
a quantity of quality cut crystal from the turn of the last century, Cranberry
glass to include a small Mary Gregory cup, a pickle cruet in frame, biscuit
barrel, etc., several Royal Doulton figurines and plates to include Charlotte
HN2421, Grace HN2318, The Lobster Man HN2317, The Foaming Quart HN2162, Falstaff
HN2054, The Laird HN2361, etc., several Coal Port figurines, two gone with the
wind type parlour lamps, a red satin and a pink cased example (both have been
electrified), several satin glass ewers and vases in various colours, a flow
blue 2 piece toilet set in a shell form, a West Ward Ho comport with lid,
Vaseline glass pickle cruet and berry bowl, porcelain dresser box, a small
quantity of estate jewelry, two sets of sterling silver flat ware including a
set of International silver in the Wild Rose pattern
plus another set of Birks sterling silver flat ware, a quantity of
serving pieces in both sterling and plate, the furniture to be offered will
include a shaped top walnut fold over games table, a quality Victorian
gentleman’s chair, two 1930’s walnut china cabinets and a small mirrored
back curio cabinet, balloon back Victorian chairs, a walnut drop leaf dining
table with leaves from the 1930’s, walnut Victorian chest of drawers, a small
English mahogany chest of drawers, double walnut spool bed, a refinished pine
two drawer transitional chest from Frontenac county, a 19th century
tall case grandfather clock with rounded top made by J & W Orr, Airdrie ,
gingerbread clock, aluminum reproductions of cast iron garden furniture
from the 1960’s, plus many more items too numerous to list.
