Antique Auction Sale

We have been asked by Pam and Cort Noxon of Prince Edward County Ont. to sell part of their collection put together over the past thirty years, plus additions from several of their county friends. The sale will be conducted on site at the Noxon home, under tent for our customer’s comfort.
Sale Directions: Hwy. 401 to Hwy. 49 (east of Belleville), Hwy. 49 to
Picton, west on the Main St. of Picton and turn left at the LCBO store on to
Lake St (Cty 10). On County Rd. 10 proceed to County Rd. 11 (road to the Sand
Banks). Turn right at County Rd. 11 to Kleinsteuber Rd. Turn right on
Kleinsteuber Rd. to auction site. (Watch for auction signs from 401).
From Bloomfield on Hwy. 33 follow Sandbanks signs along Cty. 12 to West Lake and
turn left
at Kleinsteuber Rd.

Featured
in the auction will be a selection of Ontario antique furnishings to include a
south western Ontario shrank with unusual high cutout base, an early cradle, a
cherry chest of drawers, cupboard tops and a gothic built in open cupboard in
old over paint, corner cupboard top in original red paint, a varnished cupboard
top with Gothic glazing, a tall case grandfather clock and a mantle clock from
the 19th century, a Victorian walnut washstand, turn of the last
century parlour furniture, wicker furniture, pine blanket chest, quality 20th
century furnishings to include a double pedestal Duncan Phyfe table and a nest
of three tables, etc., stoneware (some decorated pieces), assorted storage
crocks in both stoneware and redware, a collection of over 20 vintage duck,
goose and snow goose decoys featuring many Prince Edward County and area
carvers and a small collection of vintage fish decoys with the highlights being
a carved Beaver with a reeded body and a cross hatched tail, a turtle, a
crayfish and several small fish, Canadian and British prints (some in birdseye
maple frames), shadow box frame memorial, textiles to include both quilts and
hooked rugs, architectural elements consisting of mainly gingerbread, furniture
and architectural hardware consisting of several baskets full and a quantity of
various styles of thumb latches, a quantity of wrought iron acanthus leaf
decoration, folk art to include such prominent names as Ewald Rentz and E.
Richard. From Rentz we have a rare framed picture of a logging camp in relief
as well as six figures for which he is recognized for and will include “The
Hell With Canada I’m Going To Winnipeg”, “Fish Story”, “The Bull Fight”, “A
Beer and a Smoke” and “The Boxers”, a selection of lighting to include a three
sided tin lantern, carriage lamps, coal oil lamps, candle sticks, carpenter’s
tools which will feature a Stanley seven in one plane, wooden planes, etc.,
wooden ware to include trenchers, butter working tools, round butter prints, a
pail carved from a log, etc., household collectibles, fireplace furnishings
including utensils from the Markham Ontario area, etc, plus many more items too
numerous to list.
