Estate Auction Sale

We have been asked by the family of the late Evelyn Murray of Cambridge Ontario, to sell the remainder of her estate/collection by unreserved public auction. The main portion of the collection was sold by us at auction in the early 90’s and this portion of the collection was held back by her as items she held dear to her heart.

 

To be held at the Napanee Lions Club hall on Centre St. in the town of Napanee Ont., the hall can be reached from Hwy. 401 by taking the Hwy. 49 interchange at Napanee and proceeding south on Hwy. 41 (Centre St.), through the town, over the Napanee River, through the next set of traffic lights and proceed approximately 100 yards on your left to the auction site.

 

Features of the sale will include a cherry high boy chest of drawers from Waterloo county in it’s original varnished finish, a one drawer transitional chest with outstanding grained finish, glass to include Lion, clear coin spot, a cranberry brides basket, assorted china pitchers, approx. 80 pieces of flow blue china dating from the turn of the last century, flow blue jardinière and water pitchers, sponge decorated stoneware, two decorated crocks to include a 3 gal. jug from Gray and Betts, Tilsonburg Ontario and a 2 gal. jug from Gavin Hume, Dealers in Groceries, Hardware &c, Galt CW, a large early ovoid storage crock in red ware with a dark brown mottled decoration, Gaudy Welch, a large Port Neuf style pitcher from a toilet set, clear and coloured coal oil lamps, a saucered flower pot in a mottled brown glaze etc., in addition to the Murray collection we will be offering from a Napanee Ont.  collection, a six foot refinished pine harvest table, refinished pine cupboards, a Diamond Dye cupboard, walnut high post bed, early style TV, electric train and other collectible toys, antique store display cases, odd chairs, occasional tables, plus many more items too numerous to list.

Terms: Cash, cheque with two forms of ID, Visa, MasterCard and Interac.

            A 10% buyer’s premium will be added to the hammer price.
