To be held at the Napanee Lions Club hall on Centre St. in the town of Napanee Ont. (20 miles west of Kingston Ont. on Hwy. 401).
Sale Directions: Hwy. 401 to Hwy. 41 at Napanee, south on Hwy.
41 (Centre St.) through six sets of traffic lights. The hall is approx. 100
yds. from the sixth set of lights on the left or east side of the street.
We
will be offering from collections and estate collections a selection of quality
antiques and collectibles, gathered together over a period of several months
and presented in catalogue form for your inspection and pleasure.
Categories
featured in this sale will represent American art pottery, decorated stone ware
from 19th century Ontario and Quebec potteries, 19th and
20th century furniture from the Maritimes, Quebec, Ontario and the
eastern US states, textiles, wooden ware, Ontario duck decoys, folk art, 19th
and 20th century glass, china, whimsical items to include early
Christmas decorations, children’s pressing irons and trivets, miniature
pottery, etc.
Furniture
highlights: A Pennsylvania chair or hutch table in old paint, a Waterloo County
Ontario secretary in walnut (original varnish finish) and attributed to
Latschaw, a Quebec armoire in paint with paneled doors and sides and rat tail
hinges, a refinished Quebec Buffet Bas with paneled doors and sides, a
refinished Quebec transitional chest with snipe hinges, a flame birch blind
door corner cupboard from Canada’s east coast, a refinished flat to the wall
cupboard with a dentil work cornice, a signed L&JG Stickley bench in cherry
and a signed Stickley sofa and matching chair,
etc.
American
Art Pottery: will include a Weller Louwelsa three footed vase, a Rozanne
pedestal and jardinière with tulips and a Weller Aurelian pedestal, Weller
silvertone vase, several examples of Roseville, Owens jardinière, a rare
Rookwood gooseberry vase signed L.V.B. C.1900, Owens corn cob jug, etc.
20th
Century Glass to include several examples of Phoenix and Consolidated glass
such as a 11 ½ inch tall Seagull vase white on gold, a pair of 7 inch frosted
“Markle” vases by Consolidated, other Consolidated pieces will include a 6inch
Dragonfly vase, 6inch Owl vase and a pair of Jonquil vases, an 11 ½ inch
Phoenix Philodendron vase and a Phoenix 10 inch Wild Geese vase in peach and
red.
Wooden
ware consisting of butter prints and molds, a set of spice containers, cutlery
tray, etc.
Decoys
from an eastern Ont. estate will consist of examples by Davy and Addie Nichol,
Reg Bloom, Denney Rosatti, Ernie England, etc.
Ontario
and Quebec decorated stone ware to include examples by Skinner, G.I. Lazier,
Welding and Belding, Flack and Van Arsdale, W.E. Welding, Morton and Co., St.
John’s Stone Ware, Woodyatt and Co., Schuller, Eberhart, Gould, etc. all crocks
are in mint or near mint condition.
Pottery and China: early period of flow blue and mulberry, St. John’s beaver bowl, English embossed stone ware including examples of the Apostles pattern, Bennington tables wares etc.
Misc:
oil paintings and prints, a Banjo clock signed Bigelow, Kinnard and Co., other
clocks to include pillar, etc., several lots of early 20th century
Christmas decorations including a rare Santa in a race car glass decoration,
several pieces of carved and painted folk art by various makers, hooked rugs,
etc.
Due to quantity the photos have been divided into galleries.
