Estate Auction Sale, Real Estate and Chattels

 

Wed. October 31st, 2007 and Saturday November 3rd

 

We have been asked by the executors of the estate of the Betty Rosenplot, late of 211 Indian Road in the City of Kingston to sell her late residence and the contents by public auction.

 

The first session will take place at 211 Indian Rd. where we will offer the real estate (subject to a minimum acceptable bid) on Wed. October 31st at 1PM.

 

The contents will be offered for sale unreserved in the Cow Palace at the Odessa fairgrounds in the village of Odessa Ont. on Saturday November 3 beginning at 10AM, Preview Saturday from 8AM.

 

The real estate consists of a 1960’s era back split situated next to park land in a quiet residential area in the City of Kingston. The home features three bedrooms, living room, dining room and a front glassed in solarium on the main floor with a family room/dining room, kitchen and garage on the lower ground level.

 

There will be an open house to view the real estate on Monday Oct. 29th and Tuesday Oct. 30 from 12 noon until 5PM each day and on sale day, Oct. 31st from 11 AM until the auction at 1 PM.

 

The contents will be auctioned in the Cow Place at the Odessa fairgrounds on Saturday Nov. 3, 2007, which is accessible from both Hwy. 2 and county road 6 in the village of Odessa

 

Mrs. Rosenplot (Walker), was for many years a supervisor in the Physical Education department for the Kingston Public School Board but had been retired for years.

 

Featured in the contents sale will be a large quantity of collectibles to include china and glass household dishes, collectible vintage toys in metal, rubber and hard plastic, a quantity of vintage teaching aids to include children’s books and craft supplies, yard goods, etc., a small quantity of modern and antique furniture to include a French provincial sofa and matching chair, coffee and end tables, table and floor lamps, a modern grandfather clock with cherry case, a turn of the last century settee and two matching chairs, a 19th century sampler, a quantity of Christmas decorations including some vintage examples such a three foot feather tree, china cups and saucers, a partial set of dishes, three piece bedroom suite, two vintage lava lamps, a large quantity of hard and soft cover books, plus many more items too numerous to list.

Terms: For the real estate: 10% down on sale day and the balance on closing within a period of 30 days.

For the household sale: Cash, cheque with two forms of ID, Visa, MasterCard and Interac.
