TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

A 10% buyers’ premium will be added to the hammer price of each lot.

 

All goods are sold "as is" "where is" and "with all faults" All sales are final.

 

All items are sold without warranty as to authenticity, date, origin, condition, etc.

 

Condition reports are not included. It is the sole responsibility of the prospective bidders to examine lots and decide their level of interest. Condition reports are available upon request either personally or by telephone.  Prospective purchasers, however, are advised that all lots should be viewed and inspected personally.

 

Neither the auctioneer, nor the consignor, is responsible for the accuracy of any printed or verbal descriptions.  The utmost care is taken to ensure the correct cataloguing of each item.  Nonetheless, all statements as to authorship, attribution, origin, date, provenance, condition, etc., are purely statements of opinion and are not to be taken as representation of fact.

 

All weights and measurements are approximate.

 

The auctioneer has the sole right to settle disputed bids and decide whether or not to re-offer the lot.

 

The purchaser assumes complete responsibility for items at the fall of the hammer.

 

Absentee bids and phone bids will be executed when possible as a convenience to the customers. The auction house will not be held responsible for any errors or failure to accurately execute bids.

 

Bidders are encouraged to submit absentee bids prior to the auction.

 

Items may be withdrawn at any time prior to the offering of each lot.

 

The auctioneer reserves the right to object or reject an opening bid that in his opinion is not commensurate with the value of the lot.

 

Payment by cash, Visa, MasterCard, cheque or Interac. The auction house reserves the right to hold property until cheques clear. 

Payment is due at the end of each sale, or upon receipt of the invoice, unless the auction house has authorized other arrangements, shipping is arranged as a courtesy and at the buyer’s expense.
